Creativity, Empathy and Humanism in Teachers and Student Teachers

Abstract:

Tato práce zkoumá a ověřuje vztahy mezi humanismem, tvořivostí a empatií. Hlavním cílem výzkumu bylo analyzovat možný vztah mezi humanismem a tvořivostí, humanismem a empatií, a empatií a tvořivostí. Rovněž jsme chtěli zjistit, zda se učitelé a studenti učitelství liší v míře humanismu, tvořivosti a empatie. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 74 respondentů, z toho bylo 87 % žen a 13 % mužů; 59 % učitelů a 41 % studentů učitelství. Data byla získána pomocí online testové baterie skládající se ze sebeposuzovacích dotazníků pro tvořivost (Do jaké míry jste tvořivý?), humanismus (Humanistická koncepce vyučování) a empatii (zkrácená verze QCAE). Výsledky studie ukázaly pozitivní korelaci mezi tvořivostí a empatií (r = 0,27), humanismem a tvořivostí (r = 0,26), a humanismem a empatií (r = 0,46). Učitelé a studenti učitelství se v míře empatie, tvořivosti a humanismu nelišili. Ve výzkumu humanistický styl výuky převažoval nad tradičním stylem výuky.

Abstract:

This thesis examined and verified relations between humanism, creativity and empathy. The main aim of the research was to analyse possible relations between humanism and creativity, humanism and empathy, and creativity and empathy. We also wanted to find out whether teachers and student teachers would differ in their levels of empathy, creativity and humanism. The research sample consisted of 74 respondents, of whom 87% were women and 13% were men; 59% were teachers and 41% were student teachers. The data were collected through an online test battery consisting of self-report questionnaires for empathy, humanism and creativity. The results showed a positive correlation between creativity and empathy (r = 0.27), humanism and creativity (r = 0.26), and humanism and empathy (r = 0.46). Teachers and student teachers did not differ in their levels of empathy, creativity and humanism. In the research, the humanistic teaching style prevailed over the traditional teaching style.
