Aktuálně řešeným a diskutovaným problémem je množství sedimentů uložených v hydrostatické síti České republiky. Sedimenty se hodnotí po stránce kontaminace, ale také jakou mají schopnost fungovat jako hnojivo. The amount of sediments deposited in hydrostatic network in the Czech Republic represents the urgent and frequently discussed issue of these days. Sediments are assessed in terms of contamination, but also from the view of their ability to function as a fertilizer.
