Al-Andalus and the coexistence of three religions

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the coexistence of three religious groups - Christians, Muslims and Jews - in the Iberian Peninsula. It is especially dedicated to coexistence for the period of Muslim rule over the peninsula, when the peninsula was called al-Andalus, as the Muslims have brought their own way of a certain tolerance of other religious groups, which is also the subject of work. The period of Muslim rule describes chronologically, highlighting the most important historical events - from the Muslim invasion of the peninsula, until reducing their impact on the peninsula due to a strengthening christian kingdoms and their Reconquista. The work also looks at what gains left behind the coexistence of three religious groups and their cultures.

Abstract:

Predmetom bakalárskej práce je koexistencia troch náboženských skupín - kresťanov, moslimov a Židov na území Pyrenejského polostrova. Špeciálne sa venuje koexistencii za doby moslimskej nadvlády nad polostrovom, kedy sa polostrov nazýval al-Andalus, nakoľko moslimovia zo sebou priniesli vlastný spôsob istej tolerancie ostatných náboženských skupín, ktorá je taktiež predmetom práce. Obdobie moslimskej vlády je popísané chronologicky, s dôrazom na najdôležitejšie historické okamihy, od moslimskej invázie na polostrov až po zmenšenie ich vplyv na polostrove vplyvom silnejúci kresťanských kráľovstiev a ich reconquisty. Práca sa tiež zaoberá tým, aké výdobytky po sebe zanechala koexistencia troch náboženských skupín a ich kultúr.
