Graphic Information Processing in a Funeral Environment

Abstract:

Hlavním objektem zkoumání této disertační práce je vývoj zpracování smutečních oznámení v České republice v časovém rozsahu let 1872-2022. Výzkum vychází z rozsáhlé sbírky smutečních oznámení sou- kromého sběratele Miroslava Kelemana z Chrasti u Chrudimi, která obsahuje více než 16 000 dokumentů, zahrnujících nejen regionální materiály a dokumenty sbírky Státního okresního archivu Pardubice. Cílem výzkumu je identifikovat faktory a fáze procesu tvorby smutečních oznámení v průběhu 150 let, které ovlivnily jejich grafické zpracování a představit skrze tiskovinu grafický vývoj těchto doku- mentů v rozsahu 150 let.

Abstract:

The main object of research in this dissertation is the development of processing funeral announcements in the Czech Republic over the time span from 1872 to 2022. The research is based on an extensive collection of funeral announcements from a private collector, Miroslav Keleman from Chrast u Chrudimi, which contains over 16,000 documents, including both regional materials and documents from the State District Archive in Pardubice. The aim of the research is to identify the factors and stages of the process of creating obituary notices over the course of 150 years, which influenced their graphic processing, and to present through the catalog the graphic deve- lopment of these documents over the course of 150 years.
