Myth and the oldest Greek philosophy

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je objasnit, co je to mýtus, jak probíhal přechod od mýtu k filosofii a vytyčení charakteristik filosofie presókratiků. Pokusím se vymezit, jaké jsou charakteristiky mýtu, a prozkoumám nejstarší řecké mýty. Dále se zaměřím na to, jak proces přechodu mezi mýtem a filosofií probíhal, kdo a z jakých pozic mytické představy kritizoval, dále jak se prvky mytického nazírání mohou prolínat s filosofií a jakou roli zde hraje mudrcká tradice. Nakonec se ještě zaměřím na to, jak a v čem se liší filosofie od mytického nazírání a rozeberu filosofii jakožto nový pohled na svět, a to konkrétně presókratovské myslitele.

Abstract:

The objective of this thesis is to clarify what is myth, how the transition from myth to philosophy took place and to set out the characteristics of presocratic philosophy. I will attempt to define what the characteristics of myth are, and to explore the oldest Greek myths. Furthermore, I will focus on how the transition process between myth and philosophy took place, who and from which positions the mythical ideas were critized, and how the elements of mythical perception can be interwined with philosophy and the role it plays in The Sage's tradition. Finally, I will focus more on how and what distinguishes philosophy from mythical perception and discuss the philosophy as a new view of the world, specifically presocratic thinkers.
