Preschool teachers attitudes towards children with behavioral problems and behavioral and emotional disorders across a range of programs of kindergardens

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Postoje předškolních pedagogů k dětem s problémy a poruchami emocí a chování napříč spektrem programů mateřských škol nabízí pohled na práci předškolních pedagogů s problematickými dětmi v programu běžná i alternativní mateřská škola. Vychází z osobitých názorů jednotlivců a zaměřuje se na hledání shodných aspektů, jež toto zaměstnání prakticky provázejí a stávají se tak nedílnou součástí životní zkušenosti pedagoga. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí – teoretické a empirické. Teoretická část se podrobně věnuje problematice poruch emocí a chování v kontextu jejich vývoje s přihlédnutím na aktuální trendy v procesu diagnostiky a intervence problémových jedinců. Současně se zabývá otázkami běžného a alternativního předškolního vzdělávání v České republice i osobností a rolí předškolního pedagoga s přihlédnutím k práci s dětmi s problémy či poruchami emocí a chování. V neposlední řadě mapuje možnosti mezioborové spolupráce s institucemi pedagogického poradenství na procesu kvalitní diagnostiky a intervence s cílem zmírnit nebo úplně eliminovat dopady nestandardních projevů v chování na budoucí vzdělávací dráhu dítěte. Na teoretickou část navazuje část empirická, jejímž hlavním cílem je vytvořit informativní zprávu o postojích a zkušenostech předškolních pedagogů s dětmi s problémy či poruchami emocí a chování, s přihlédnutím na jejich pedagogické, poradenské a informační potřeby. Prostřednictvím provedených rozhovorů a jejich analýzy tak výzkum odhaluje praktická fakta, týkající se reality praxe ve výchovně-vzdělávacím procesu s problémovými dětmi v prostředí mateřských škol. Současně tak mapuje míru připravenosti budoucích pedagogů na problematiku této praxe a funkčnost mezioborové spolupráce s institucemi poradenského systému stejně jako spolupráce s rodiči problémových jedinců. Abstract:

The diploma thesis Preschool teachers' attitudes towards children with behavioral problems and emotional and behavioral disorders across a range of programs of kindergartens, offer a view of the work of preschool teachers with problematic children in the program regular and alternative kindergarten. The thesis based on distinctive views of individuals and focuses on finding the same aspects that accompany this work in practice and become an integral part of the teacher´s life experiences. The work consists of two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is devoted to problems of emotional and behavioral disorders in the context of their development with regard to current trends in the process of diagnosis and intervention of problem child. At the same time it deals with issues of conventional and alternative preschool education in the Czech Republic and personalities and roles preschool teacher with regard to work with children with problems or emotional and behavioral disorders. Finally, mapping the possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation with institutions for educational counseling process quality diagnosis and intervention to reduce or even eliminate the effects of non-standard behavior in future educational career of the child. The theoretical part is followed by the empirical part; the main objective is to create an informative report on the attitudes and experiences of preschool teachers with children with problems or emotional and behavioral disorders, with regard to educational, counseling and information needs of the teachers. Through the interviews and the analysis and practical research reveals facts about the reality of practice in the educational process with problem children in kindergarten environment. At the same maps as the degree of readiness of future educators on the issue of this practice and the functionality of interdisciplinary cooperation with institutions advisory system, as well as cooperation with parents of problem children.
