Actors´ agencies and their role at the beginning of the actor´s professional careers in the Czech Republic and abroad

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se snaží o shrnutí dosavadních poznatků k tématu „Zastupitelské agentury a jejich role na počátku profesní kariéry herců v ČR a zahraničí“, definuje základní pojmy a formuluje společné hypotézy s tématem související a následně reflektuje tento fenomén na základě kvalitativního zkoumání. Ke zpracování praktické části této bakalářské práce byly využity metodiky empirického výzkumu kvalitativního zkoumání, a to na základě pozorování, následně zanalyzovaného do co možná nejpřesnějšího popisu trhu v kombinaci s metodikou kvalitativních rozhovorů. Práce definuje benefity i disbenefity zastupitelských agentur v Čr a zahraničí a popisuje podstatu role zastupitelských agentur na počátku profesní kariéry herců, jež se týká několika dimenzí, a to v kontextu každodenních pracovních rituálů; psychických a volných předpokladů k výkonu činnosti; sebeprezentace, prezentace, mediálního servisu; způsobů získávání práce; komunikace – vztah: herec – agent – třetí strana a formování kariérního směru/zaměření.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis seeks to summarize the existing knowledge on the topic “Actors´ agencies and their role in the early careers of actors in the Czech Republic and abroad", defines the basic concepts, formulates common hypotheses related to the topic, and then reflects this phenomenon in qualitative research. The methods of empirical research of qualitative research was used to process the practical part of this bachelor thesis, based on observations, then analyzed in the most accurate description of the market in combination with the methodology of qualitative interviews. The thesis defines the benefits and disbenefits of actors´ agencies in the Czech Republic and abroad and describes the essence of the role of these agencies at the beginning of actors' professional careers, which concerns several dimensions, in the context of daily work rituals; psychological and free preconditions for the performance of activities; self-presentation, presentation, media service; ways of getting a job; communication - relationship: actor - agent - third party and shaping career direction/focus
