Functional differential equations in micro-economics

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to describe the use of functional differential equations of the selected model. We chose a model of price fluctuations. The thesis is structured into two main chapters and subheads. In the first chapter of the thesis we devote a brief introduction to the theory of functional differential equations. We cite the classification of functional differential equations, the definition of the basic initial condition and theorem of the existence and uniqueness of solutions. Here is also a brief history of the application of these equations. The second chapter we consider the backbone of the thesis. In this chapter there is a model of price fluctuations. We examine it on the basis of works of three selected authors. Specifically, we devote processing model of price fluctuations by A. B. Larson, J. B. S. Haldane and M. C. Mackey. To process thesis we use monograph of V. Kolmanovskii and A. Myshkis. We have studied literature in the original, in English. Appendix of the work consists of basic economic theory, which we use at work.

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat využití funkcionálních diferenciálních rovnic ve vybraném modelu. Námi vybraný model je model fluktuace cen. Bakalářská práce je strukturovaná do dvou hlavních kapitol a několika podkapitol. V první kapitole bakalářské práce se věnujeme stručnému úvodu do teorie funkcionálních diferenciálních rovnic. Uvádíme klasifikaci funkcionálních diferenciálních rovnic, definici základní počáteční úlohy a větu o existenci a jednoznačnosti řešení. Uvádíme též stručnou historii aplikaci těchto rovnic. Druhou kapitolu považujeme za nosnou část bakalářské práce. V ní se věnujeme modelu fluktuace cen, kterou zkoumáme na základe prací třech vybraných autorů. Konkrétně se věnujeme zpracování modelu fluktuace cen podle A. B. Larsona, J. B. S. Haldaneho a M. C. Mackeyho. Při zpracování bakalářské práce vycházíme z monografie V. Kolmanovského a A. Myshkise. Literaturu jsme studovali v originále, v anglickém jazyku. Přílohovou část bakalářské práce tvoří základní ekonomická teorie, kterou v práci používáme.
