Change of career path in the consequence of coping with life event.

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá tématem změny profesní dráhy v důsledku zvládání životní události. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části – teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části je definován pojem profesní dráha a jsou vysvětleny možné pohledy na pojem událost. Jako úvod pro druhou část teoretické části je popsána Teorie 4S, která je podkladem pro empirickou část stejně jako druhá polovina teoretické části, ve které jsou popsány dostupné koncepty profesních drah, které se zabývají především tématem změny v profesní dráze, na závěr jsou popsány copingové strategie. Empirická část této práce je realizována formou kvalitativního výzkumného šetření, které bylo provedeno prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Cílem bylo odpovědět na hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Jak ženy reagují na životní událost, která narušila kontinuitu jejich dosavadní profesní dráhy? Zároveň byl zkoumán vliv hodnot, role okolí, sebehodnocení a způsob tvoření cíle strategií.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with a topic of the change of career path in the consequence of coping with life event. This thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part is defined the term career path and also two possible points of view on term event are presented. As an intruduction of second half of theoretical part is described 4S´s Theory, which made a background for second half of this thesis, in which are described availible concepts of career paths, which deal with a topic of change in career path at the end there are coping strategies described. The empirical part is realized as a qualitative investigative study that was made through semi-structured interviews and whose main goal was to answer the primary research question: How does women react on a life event, which interrupted the continuity of their previous career path? Also the influence of values, role of milieu, targets, self-evaluation and the way of formation of strategies were examined.
