The image of the industrial Ostrava in the regional literature

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analyzovat a interpretovat reportážní román J. O. Bora Ocúny hald v širším literárně-historickém kontextu. Práce je rozdělena do tří základních částí. První se mapuje historii Ostravy od jejích počátků až do současnosti. Druhá část je věnována regionálním spisovatelům a třetí stěžejní část se zabývá dílem Ocúny hald a to i po jazykové stránce. Důležitou kapitolou je také problematické žánrové vymezení románu, proto jsou zde zmíněny také pojmy jako reportáž, detektivka apod.

Abstract:

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze and interpret J. O. Bor´s reportage novel called Ocúny hald in the wider literary and historical context. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part includes the history of Ostrava from its origin until today. The second part deals with regional writers and the third part focuses on Ocúny hald itself which is a central point of this thesis. The next important chapter disscusses the ambiguous genre of the novel. That is why there are mentioned also other terms as for example reportage, detective story and others.
