This diploma thesis deals with estimating the NAIRU (non-accelerating infla-tion rate of unemployment). The theoretical part includes a general view of NAIRU and its history. The NAIRU can be important for economic policy makers, because the unemployment may cause to inflationary pressures. Some modern methods and estimation techniques are described in the thesis.
