Problematics of coming out of homosexual women

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je získat hlubší vhled do procesu coming outu u homosexuálních žen. Prozkoumat, jak daný proces probíhá, jak se s ním samotným a se situacemi, které s sebou přináší, homosexuální ženy vypořádávají. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na vysvětlení základních pojmů z oblasti sexuality, které se následně využívají v dalších kapitolách, popisujících homosexualitu a její postavení ve společnosti. Poslední kapitola teoretické části je pak přímo zaměřena na proces coming outu a jeho stádia. Výzkumná část vychází z kvalitativního výzkumu, pro který byla využita metoda interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy. Tato část práce pak pracuje s konkrétními zkušenostmi s procesem coming outu, které se podařilo od participantek získat. Závěr práce je věnován interpretaci výsledků analýzy, vyhodnocení cíle práce a následné diskuzi. Výsledkem práce je, že homosexuální ženy vnímají proces coming outu v několika fázích, a to: uvědomění si odlišnosti, první krok, svěření se rodině a veřejný coming out.

Abstract:

The main goal of the bachelor's thesis is to gain a deeper insight into the process of coming out of homosexual women. Explore the process, how the process works, how homosexual women deal with it and the situations it brings. The theoretical part of the work is focused on explaining the basic concepts of sexuality, which are then used in other chapters, describing homosexuality and its position in society. The last chapter of the theoretical part is then directly focused on the process of coming out and its stages. The research part is based on qualitative research, for which the method of interpretive phenomenological analysis was used. This part of the work then works with specific experiences with the coming out process, which were collected from the participants. The conclusion of the work is devoted to the interpretation of the results of the analysis, evaluation of the aim of the work and subsequent discussion. The result of the work is that homosexual women perceive the process of coming out in several stages, namely: observing their differences, the first step, confiding in the family and the public coming out.
