Physiotherapy Rehabilitation of the child with spina bifida.

Abstract:

The bifida spine is a neural tube defect (DTN), it is part of a group of malformations that occur within the 28th day of conception due to a lack of closure of the Central Nervous System (SNC) and its closely related structures ( Cute, bones, meninges). The main defect consists of a backbone of the loin-sacral, lumbar vertebra (more frequently), thoracic and / or cervical vertebrae (more rarely). Depending on the number of affected vertebrae, it exhibits an outbreak and protuberance outside the spinal cord and the menys that cover it, which in contact with amniotic fluid are altered. There are different forms: Occult, Meningocele, Mielomeningocele.

La spina bifida ? un difetto del tubo neurale (D.T.N), fa parte di un gruppo di malformazioni che insorgono entro il 28° giorno dal concepimento, dovuta ad una mancata chiusura del Sistema Nervoso Centrale ( S.N.C ) e delle strutture ad esso strettamente connesse ( cute, ossa, meningi). Il difetto principale consiste in una schisi degli archi posteriori delle vertebre lombo-sacrali, lombari ( con maggiore frequenza), toraciche e /o cervicali ( pi? raramente).
