Bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem amatérských titulků se zaměřením na jejich kvalitu a použité strategie. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny problémy, které mají vliv na vytváření audiovizuálního překladu. Poté praktická část obsahuje analýzu amatérských titulků seriálu Sleepy Hollow, který poskytuje kontrast jazykových prostředků používaných v 18. a 21. století.
