Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá pripravovanou rekodifikáciou Občianskeho zákonníka. Práca je rozdelená do troch hlavných kapitol. Prvá kapitola sa venuje historickému vývoju občianskeho práva. Zameraná je najmä na Občianske zákonníky, ktoré boli akými si predchodcami samotného Občianskeho zákonníka 1964.
