Economic evaluation of investment effeciency

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá ekonomickým hodnocením investičního projektu – filtračního zařízení „KALOLIS“ a následným doporučením na jeho nákup. Firma se rozhoduje, zda má nadále používat stávající kalolis, který má vyšší náklady nebo koupit nový kalolis s nižšími náklady. Zisk z výroby katalyzátoru při použití nové investice se zvýší o cenu úsporného opatření, z důvodu snížení nákladů na výrobu, které by firma musela vynaložit při užívání neúsporného starého kalolisu. K ekonomickému hodnocení investice byly použity tři metody hodnocení investic,a to jak statická metoda, tak dynamické metody. Zástupcem za statické metody byla zvolena metoda „Doba návratnosti“. Tato metoda však nebere v úvahu faktor času, který je při hodnocení naší investice potřebný z důvodu desetileté doby použitelnosti kalolisu. Za hlavní ukazatel v hodnocení investice budeme brát v úvahu dynamické metody jako vnitřní výnosové procento a čistou současnou hodnotu. Na čisté současné metodě demonstruji možnost zohledňování rizika „nepřímým promítáním rizika“ při hodnocení investice a interpretuji výsledné hodnoty. Závěrem hodnocení investice je doporučení na přijetí této hodnocené investice.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with economical evaluation of the capital project – a filtraton device called „filter press“ and followed up recommendation for its purchase. The company is just deciding if to keep on using the current filter press which has higher costs or to buy a new one with lower costs. The profit from catalyst production when using the new investment will increase for the economy drive price from the reason of lowering production costs which the company should have to expand when using old wasteful filter press. Three investment evaluation methods have been used for economical evaluation. Namely the static and dynamic ones. As a representative of the static method was chosen a method of economic return time. This method does not take into account the time factor which is necessary from the reason of ten years usable life. For the main indicator when evaluating the investment are taken into an account dynamic methods such as inner yield percentage and current net value. On the current net value I demostrate the possibility of making a provision of liability by „mediate projecting of liability“ when evaluating the investment and I also interpret the result values. In the end of this investment evaluation the acceptance of this rating investment was recommended.
