Food habits of predatory fish in drinking water reservoirs

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá potravní analýzou dravých ryb, ve vztahu k biomanipulaci, která je považována jako jeden z prostředků sloužící ke zlepšení kvality vody. S touto problematikou jsou často spojeny kontrolovatelné odlovy kaprovitých a vysazování dravých druhů ryb do nádrží. Výzkum byl zaměřen na potravní analýzu pěti druhů dravých ryb, štiku obecnou (Esox lucius), candáta obecného (Sander lucioperca), okouna říčního (Perca fluviatilis), sumce velkého (Silurus glanis) a bolena dravého (Leuciscus Aspius). Hlavním cílem práce bylo zhodnotit potravní preference dravých ryb, určit v jakém množství dravé druhy konzumují kaprovité ryby, a zda jsou schopny ovlivnit jejich počestnost. Na pěti vodárenských nádržích bylo celkem odloveno 480 jedinců dravých ryb, štika obecná (21), candát obecný (18), okoun říční (427), bolen dravý (7) a sumec velký (7). Kaprovité ryby spolu s okounovitými rybami tvořili v potravě dravců 25 % a 31 %. Nejčastěji konzumovanou rybou byl okoun 22,3 %, plotice obecná (Rutilus rutilus) 9,3 %, ouklej obecná (Alburnus alburnus) 5,4 %. Nedílnou součástí potravy dravých druhů ryb byli i vodní bezobratlí, kteří se vyskytovali v 58,5 %, ale s malým hmotnostním příspěvkem 23,4 %. Dravci nebyli schopni regulovat početnost kaprovitých ryb.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deal with the diet analysis of piscivorous fish, and it associated to biomanipulation which is considered as one of the mean which is improving quality of water. Controllable catching and stocking piscivorous fish to the reservoirs is related with this issue. Investigation was focused on the diet analysis five predators. a pike (Esox Lucius), a pikeperch (Sander lucioperca), a perch (Perca fluviatilis), a europan catfish (Silurus glanis) and an asp (Leuciscus aspius). The main targets of this thesis was evaluated food preferences of the piscivorous fish, determine how much the predators consume a planktivorous fish and whether the predators are be able to affect abundance of a planktivorous fish. On the five drinking water reservoirs was sampled altogether 480 individual of the piscivorous fish, a pike (21), a pikeperch (18), a european perch (427), an asp (7), and a european catfish (7). The Cyprinidae together with the Percidae formed in the diet of a piscivorous fish 25 % and 31 %. The most consumed fish was a bleak (Alburnus alburnus) 5,4 %, a roach (Rutilus rutilus), and a perch 22,3 %. Significatn part of the diet of predators was so water invertebrates, which formed 58,5 %, but with low contribution of weight in the diet 23,4 %. The predators were not able to regulate an abundance of the planktivorous fish.
