Tato práce kriticky rozebírá dílo Foe, jehož autorem je J. M. Coetzee. Foe je postmoderní román, ve kterém se Coetzee vrací k novele Robinson Crusoe od Daniela Defoea. Coetzee zde představuje alternativní verzi Defoeava příběhu, verzi, jež přináší několik zajímavých změn, které poukazují na určité úpravy, které Defoe záměrně provedl u původního románu. This thesis critically analyzes the novel Foe, written by J. M. Coetzee. Foe is a postmodern novel in which Coetzee goes back to the novel Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. Coetzee presents an alternative version of Defoe´s story. His version brings up many interesting alterations which point to some suspicious adjustements Defoe might have made to a different story.
