Problems of viral hepatitis E in the Region

Abstract:

Virová hepatitida E byla dříve importovanou nákazou cestovatelů. V současné době se hlavně jedná o autochtonní onemocnění, která jsou spojována s tzv. zoonotickým potenciálem. Jelikož je trend tohoto onemocnění nejen celosvětově ale i v České republice stále stoupající, zaslouží si tato problematika větší pozornost. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou části: Teoretická část obsahuje základní informace týkající se virové hepatitidy E, zejména původců, genotypů, cest přenosu, klinického obrazu, laboratorní diagnostiky, terapie, prognózy a v neposlední řadě také prevence. Cílem práce bylo objasnit aktuální problematiku toho onemocnění. V praktické části byla provedena analýza trendu výskytu virové hepatitidy E v Moravskoslezském kraji a následně také porovnání toho kraje s ostatními kraji v České republice. Toto infekční onemocnění bylo zaznamenáno v každém okrese Moravskoslezského kraje. Nejvíce případů bylo v Karviné a v Ostravě a naopak nejmenší výskyt za celé sledované období byl v okrese Bruntál. V České republice byl největší výskyt ve Středočeském a Ústeckém kraji. Nejnižší počet případů byl zaznamenám v Karlovarském kraji. Dále bylo také provedeno dotazníkové šetření a jeho cílem bylo zjistit úroveň informovanosti o virové hepatitidě E u třech sledovaných skupin. Dotazníkového šetření se celkem zúčastnilo celkem 312 respondentů - 112 pedagogů a lékařů, 100 studentů Lékařské fakulty a 100 běžné populace. Jelikož návratnost dotazníků u pedagogů Lékařské fakulty byla velmi nízká, bylo nutné soubor rozšířit i o lékaře. Získaná data byla zpracována do tabulek a grafů. Dle statistického zhodnocení výsledků dotazníkového šetření bylo zjištěno, že soubor pedagogů a lékařů má dle očekávání největší znalosti o této problematice ze všech dotazovaných respondentů.

Abstract:

Viral hepatitis E infection was previously imported by travelers. Currently it is mainly an autochtonous disease connected with so called zoonotic potencial. As the trend of this disease is still rising - not only globally, but also in the Czech Republic - this issue deserves more attention. The thesis is divided into two parts: Theoretical part contains basic information about hepatitis E, especially the initiator, genotypes, ways of transmission, medical signs, laboratory diagnostics, therapy, prognosis and ultimately prevention. The goal of thesis was to raise awareness of current issues of this dissease. The practical part analyses the presence trend of hepatitis E in the Moravian-Silesian region and subsequently comparing this region with other regions in the Czech Republic. This infectious disease has been recorded in each district of the region. Most cases were in Karviná and Ostrava, while lowest presence for the assessed period of time was in the district of Bruntál. The Czech Republic has the highest presence in regions Středočeský and Ústecký. The lowest presence was recorded in the Karolvarský region. Survey was also carried in this region and its aim was to determine the level of awareness of hepatitis E among the three studied groups. The questionnaire survey was submitted by a sum of 312 respondents - 112 teachers and doctors, 100 medical students and 100 general population. The survey had to be expanded by doctors due to low questionnaires returnability by the teachers of the Medical Faculty. The data were processed into charts & graphs and according to the statistical evaluation of the survey results it was found, that the teachers and doctors are the most aware of this issue from all of the respondents.
