Tato práce se zabývá rozborem a srovnáním dvou překladů známého románu Marka Twaina "Dobrodružství Huckleberryho Finna" do češtiny. Autory překladů jsou František Gel a Jana Mertinová. Úvodní část práce se věnuje analýze jazyka tohoto románu a jeho různých stylových vrstev reprezentovaných jednotlivými postavami. The thesis deals with the analysis and comparison of two Czech translations of Mark Twain’s well-known novel “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” by František Gel and Jana Mertinová. The first part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of the language of the original work and its various stylistic levels represented by the individual characters of the novel.
