The level of dental hygiene among children under 10 years

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na úroveň dentální hygieny u dětí do 10 let. Teoretická část se v úvodu zabývá anatomickým popisem dentice, jejím vývojem a funkcí. Zmíněny jsou nejčastější patologie, se zaměřením na zubní kaz, s popisem jeho příčin a možností prevence. Další kapitoly se věnují dentální hygieně, se specifikací pro dětský věk. Zabývají se rozborem dentálních pomůcek i technik čištění. Závěr teoretické části je věnován edukaci ve stomatologii a preventivním prohlídkám. Výzkumná část práce byla zpracována na podkladě dat získaných dotazníkovým šetřením na stomatologické klinice ve Středočeském kraji. Podle zjištění vyplývajících z dotazníkového šetření, byl vytvořen edukační materiál pro rodiče a jejich děti shrnující důležitá fakta v péči chrup v dětském věku.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the level of dental hygiene in children under 10 years of age. At its beginning, the theoretical part provides anatomical description of the dentition, and it also describes its development and functions. Furthermore, the most common pathological phenomena are listed, focusing on dental caries, explaining its causes and offering prevention options. The following chapters attend to dental hygiene specified for childhood. They concentrate on the analysis of dental appliances and dental cleaning techniques. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to education in dentistry and preventive examinations. The research part was prepared on the basis of data acquired through questionnaires at a dental clinic in the Central Bohemian Region. According to the findings obtained via the questionnaire survey, an educational material for parents and their children was compiled. The document summarizes essential facts related to dental care during childhood.
