Quantitative Analysis of Water Glass Composition

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývala kvantitativní analýzou složení vodního skla. V teoretické části se nachází popis vodního skla, jeho některých typů, vlastností a použití. Dále je v teoretické části uveden přehled metod analýzy vodního skla. Praktická část práce se zabývá kvantitativní chemickou analýzou složení vodního skla. Analyzované vzorky vodního skla byly dodány společností KOMA a.s. Vzorky vodního skla byly podrobeny kvantitativní analýze složení pro zjištění jejich procentuálního obsahu Na2O či K2O a SiO2. Zkušební vzorek byl analyzován pomocí různých titračních metod. V rámci této práce byla již využívaná metoda analýzy prováděná společností KOMA a.s. modifikována přídavkem KHCO3 či K2HPO4. Bylo zjištěno, že použití KHCO3 není vhodné. Naopak po použití inovované metody s K2HPO4 bylo zjištěno, že tato metoda svými parametry odpovídá požadavkům na rychlé a dostatečně přesné stanovení bez nutnosti náročného instrumentálního vybavení.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the quantitative analysis of the composition of the water glass solution. The theoretical part is a description of a water glass solution, his types, properties and uses. The theoretical part provides an overview of methods for analyzing water glass solution. The practical part deals with the quantitative analysis of chemical composition of water glass solution. The analyzed samples of water glass solution were supplied by the company KOMA a.s. Samples of water glass solution were subjected to quantitative analysis to determine the composition of the percentage of Na2O or K2O and SiO2. Samples were analyzed using various titration methods. As part of this work has been used analysis method as implemented by KOMA a.s. modified by the addition of KHCO3 or K2HPO4. It has been found that the use of KHCO3 is not appropriate. In contrast, the use of innovative methods of K2HPO4 was found that the parameters of this method, is consistent with the rapid and sufficiently accurate determination without demanding instrumental equipment.
