Growth and prosperity young stands of the sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) on district Olšovec (Forest administration Vítkov)

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na posouzení odrůstání a prosperity mladých porostů javoru klenu (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) v revíru Olšovec, Lesní správě Vítkov. V literárním přehledu jsou uvedeny přírodní poměry lokality, charakteristika a stanovištní nároky dané dřeviny a její potenciál pro budoucí zalesňování a odrůstání s ohledem na klimatickou změnu. Po terénním šetření a měření na zkusných plochách byly hodnoceny výsledky dendrologického měření a porovnání mladých porostů z přirozené a umělé obnovy. Z hlediska zjištěných hodnot a stavu vybraných porostů nelze udělat jednostranný závěr. Při včasném výchovném zásahu v porostu přirozené obnovy byla zjištěna vyšší kvalita a prosperita jedinců. V porostech umělé obnovy byl znatelný vliv poškození sazenic zvěří, i přes realizovanou ochranu pomocí oplocenek. Porosty přirozené obnovy javoru klene jsou přehoustlé, a to je určitým způsobem chrání před ataky zvěře. Zatímco pokud se do oplocenky s umělou obnovou zvěř dostane, následky jsou závažné a poškození může dosáhnout i více než 80 %.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focus on growth and prosperity of the young stands of sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) on district Olšovec, Forest administration Vítkov. The literature review presents the natural conditions of the locality, the characteristics and habitat requirements of the tree species and its potential for future afforestation and regrowth with regard to climate change. The results of the field survey and dendrological measurements on the experimental plots were evaluated in terms of comparing natural and artificial regeneration. The determined values and the condition of the selected stand dot not give a one-sided conclusion. Provide the growth pruned in time a higher quality and prosperity of individuals from natural regeneration was ensure. The effect of damage to seedlings by game in the stands of artificial regeneration was noticeable, despite the implemented protection with fences. The stands of the natural regeneration of the sycamore maple are dense. This characteristic could provide protect from gourmand game. On the other hand, if game get into the fence with artificial restoration, the consequences are serious and the damage can reach more than 80%.
