Implications of labelling children in school environment from the perspective of Zlin region teachers

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na působení mechanismů etiketizační teorie na děti. V teoretické části jsou porovnány názory pedagogů a sociologů, jež se teorií etiketizace zabývali, a v části praktické je rozpracována analýza rozhovorů s pedagogickými pracovnicemi Zlínského kraje, kde je nastíněn jejich názor na nálepkování. Bakalářská práce se pak zabývá nejen nálepkováním na veřejnosti a všeobecným náhledem na tuto problematiku, ale rovněž etiketizací probíhající ve školním prostředí, a jejím působením na žáky.

Abstract:

My thesis is focused on the impact of labelling on children, and is comprised of two main parts. The theoretical part compares the views of teachers and sociologists who study the problems of labelling. In the practical part I analyze interviews with teachers from the Zlin region, where they voice their views on labelling children. The thesis deals not only with labelling in public and with general views on these issues, but also with labelling that takes place in the school system and its influence on pupils.
