Crystal Growth in Amorphous Nifedipine
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou rychlosti růstu krystalů v amorfním léčivu v závislosti na teplotě. Specifickým objektem studia je léčivo nifedipin, používané k léčbě hypertenze a anginy pectoris. Růst krystalů v amorfní formě nifedipinu v oblasti podchlazené taveniny byl monitorován pomocí optické mikroskopie.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis focuses on analyzing the temperature dependence of crystal growth rate in an amorphous drug. The specific subject of this study is Nifedipine, that can be used for treating hypertension and angina pectoris. The crystal growth in the amorphous form of Nifedipine within the region of undercooled melt was monitored using optical microscopy.
