Evaluation of the course mentoring skills

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zabývám evaluací kurzu zaměřeného na vzdělávání učitelů v oblasti mentorských dovedností v rámci jejich profesního rozvoje. Tato práce je dělena na dvě stěžejní části - teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části se zabývám situací učitele v současném českém vzdělávacím systému a to i s nedostatky týkající se definování a ohodnocení kvality učitele. Na toto téma navazuji dalším vzděláváním učitelů s upozaďovanou kolegiální podporou, v rámci níž se soustřeďuji na mentoring, který vymezuji jako velmi užitečný nástroj ke spolupráci a k přenosu zkušeností mezi učiteli ve školním prostředí. Poslední kapitolu věnuji seznámením s evaluací vzdělávacího programu v základních pojmech a poukazuji na rozdíl mezi klasickým a evaluačním výzkumem, kterému se věnuji i v části empirické. Jádrem empirické části je analýza a interpretace dat, kterou jsem uskutečnila během kvalitativního výzkumného šetření za účelem získání vhledu do procesu stávání se mentorem prostřednictvím učitelů, kteří absolvovali kurz mentorských dovedností.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of courses aimed at training teachers in mentoring skills as part of their professional development. This work is divided into two main parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part deals with the situation of teachers in contemporary Czech educational system and even with flaws on the definition and evaluation of teacher quality. I refer to this topic further training of teachers marginalization collegial support within which to concentrate on mentoring, which I define as a very useful tool for cooperation and transfer of experience between teachers in the school environment. The last chapter is devoted to familiarization with the evaluation of a training program on basic concepts and highlights the differences between classical and evaluation research, which is also devoted to the empirical. At the core of the empirical part is analysis and interpretation of data, which I made during qualitative research to gain insight into the process of becoming a mentor through teachers who have completed a course mentor skills.
