Critical and practical edition of songs about the last things of man from the cancionale CAPELLA REGIA MUSICALIS (Chapel of Royal Singing and Music)

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce přináší spartaci a komentář k výběru písní zařazených v oddílu o posledních věcech člověka – Requiem české v kancionálu Karla Václava Holana Rovenského Capella regia musicalis (dále jen CRM), z exempláře základního vydání uchovávaném v Knihovně Národního muzea pod signaturou 27 A 12/c a zamýšlí se nad cílovými skupinami, pro něž ho autor psal, či kompiloval a upravoval. Zpřístupňuje tuto ještě nezpracovanou část, která může obohatit jak liturgickou praxi, tak i koncertní produkci a zároveň tím přispívá k poznání naší hudební historie. První kapitoly čerpají z dostupné literatury, uvádí do problematiky, seznamují se základním pojmem kancionál, v krátkosti provádí jeho historií a představují autora CRM. Další se věnují detailněji tomuto artefaktu, od mapování dosavadních badatelských aktivit po celkové představení CRM v historickém kontextu českých kancionálů a zabývají se vybraným okruhem eschatologických písní. Práce si všímá především hudební složky, to znamená harmonie, příp. kontrapunktické struktury, snaží se autorizovat jednotlivé skladby a neopomíjí ani pohled na spiritualitu, z níž jednotlivé písně vychází. Proto je před část, která se jim věnuje, ještě vložena kapitola, zprostředkující základní pohled baroka na smrt pomocí uměleckého vyjádření. Spartace je doplněna kritickou zprávou. Bakalářská práce tak může být užitečná nejen pro interprety, kteří hledají vhodný repertoár s tematikou posledních věcí člověka, ale i pro ty, kteří hledají kontext jeho vzniku.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis presents a scoring and commentary on a selection of songs included in the section on the last things of man - the Requiem of Bohemia in Karel Václav Holan Rovenský's cancionale Capella regia musicalis (hereinafter referred to as CRM), from a copy of the basic edition kept in the National Museum Library under the signature 27 A 12/c, and reflects on the target groups for whom the author wrote or compiled and edited it. It makes available this unprocessed part, which can enrich both liturgical practice and concert production, and in so doing contributes to the knowledge of our musical history. The first chapters draw on the available literature, introduce the basic concept of the cancionale, briefly walk through its history, and introduce the author of the CRM. The following ones deal with this artefact in more detail, from mapping the previous research activities to the overall presentation of the work in the historical context of Czech cancionales and dealing with a selected range of eschatological songs. The thesis takes particular note of the musical component, i.e. the harmony, or the contrapuntal structure, tries to authorize the individual compositions and does not exclude a look at the spirituality underlying the individual songs. For this reason, a chapter is inserted before the section dealing with them, conveying the basic Baroque view of death through artistic expression. The scoring is supplemented by a critical account. The Bachelor's thesis can thus be useful not only for performers looking for suitable repertoire with the theme of the last things of man, but also for those seeking the context of its creation.
