Abstract:

Tato disertační práce se zabývá návrhem, syntézou a spektroskopickou charak-terizací nových fotoaktivovatelných sloučenin. Získané výsledky byly nebo brzy bu-dou publikovány v odborném časopisu. Kapitola „Literature Part“ uvádí přehled aktuálních publikovaných informací relevantních k projektům, zahrnuje fotoodštěpitelné chránicí skupiny, význam CO jako signální molekuly a látky uvolňující CO po ozáření světlem (photoCORMs). Poslední část této kapitoly popisuje vlastnosti a použití flavonoidů a porfyrinů. Kapitola „Results and Discussion“ obsahuje shrnutí a vyhodnocení výsledků tří nezávislých výzkumných projektů. První projekt se zabývá vývojem látek na bázi hybridu porfyrinu a flavonolu, které po ozáření viditelným světlem uvolňují CO. Je popsána syntéza těchto hybridů, jejich fotofyzikální a fotochemické vlastnosti studo-vané pomocí steady-state i tranzientní spektroskopie. Druhý projekt se zabýval náv-rhem, syntézou a studiem hydbridů ftalocyaninu a flavonolu, které spadají do nové třídy látek uvolňující CO po ozáření světlem z blízké infračervené oblasti. Poslední projekt se zabýval vývojem fotoodštěpitelné chránicí skupiny vycházející ze struktury porfyrinů. Jsou prezentovány výsledy syntézy, fyzikálně-chemických vlast-ností a studia mechanismu. Poslední části této disertace obsahuje publikované články a experimentální da-ta v podobě příloh.

Abstract:

This dissertation thesis is focused on the design, synthesis, and spectroscopical characterization of new photoactivatable compounds. The results shown herein have been published or will be submitted for publication soon. The chapter “Literature Part” gives an overview of the currently published information related to the studied projects, including photoremovable protecting groups, the role of carbon monoxide as a gas signaling molecule, and light-activatable carbon monoxide releasing molecules (photoCORMs). The last section of this chapter shows the properties and applications of flavonoids and porphyrins. The chapter “Results and Discussion” summarizes and evaluates the results of three independent research projects. The first project focuses on the development of visible light-activated photoCORMs based on a porphyrin-flavonol hybrid structure. The synthesis of these hybrids is presented in this section, and the photophysical and photochemical properties, studied by steady-state and transient spectroscopies, are summarized. The second project was focused on the design, synthesis, and study of a phthalocyanine-flavonol hybrid as a new class of CO-releasing molecules operating in the near-infrared region. The last project was focused on the development of a porphyrin-based photoremovable protecting group platform. The synthesis, the physicochemical properties, and a mechanistic investigation are presented. In the last section of the thesis, the publications and the experimental data are included as appendices.
