Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se věnuji urbánnímu vývoji Olomouce v období První republiky, tedy od roku 1918 do roku 1938. Tehdy došlo k převzetí správy města českou většinou a ke sloučení Olomouce s okolními obcemi. Úkolem nového vedení bylo propojit Olomouc jako přirozené centrum města s předměstími, která se po dobu 200 let vyvíjela autonomně, jelikož byla od poloviny 18. století od Olomouce oddělena bastionovou pevností. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. Po krátkém uvedení do historických a politických souvislostí následuje kapitola o tvorbě územního plánu pro ?Velký Olomouc?, který byl připravován od roku 1921 a definitivní podobu dostal v 30. letech 20. století. Na to navazuje část o rozvoji města v praxi se zaměřením na strukturu města, rozšíření bytové zástavby a významné projekty, které ovlivnily podobu budoucí Olomouce. Poslední kapitola je věnována budování komunální infrastruktury, jmenovitě zásobování města pitnou vodou, plynárenství, elektrárenství a hromadné dopravě. Všechna tato odvětví se v Olomouci prostřednictvím městských podniků rozvíjí již od konce 19. století. V období meziválečném pak došlo na postupné rozšíření služeb, které poskytovaly obyvatelům města, i do předměstí. Přirozeně také docházelo díky vývoji technologií k modernizaci jednotlivých zařízení a z hlediska vedení podniků k provozně-administrativním změnám. Základem práce je zpracování archivních pramenů, doplněné o informace z dobové literatury a z publikací současného výzkumu dějin Olomouce. Práce je doplněna o obrazovou přílohu, ve které lze pozorovat jednotlivé změny i konkrétní projekty.

Abstract:

In my diploma thesis, I devote to the urban development of Olomouc in the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic, thus from the year 1918 to 1938. In that time, the city authorities were taken over by the Czech majority and the city of Olomouc was united with the surrounding communities. The aim of the new administration was to unify Olomouc as a natural city centre with the suburbs, which were developing autonomously for 200 years, because they were separated from Olomouc by a citadel bastion from the middle of the 18th century. The work is divided into four chapters. After a short introduction to historical and political context, there follows a chapter describing the creation of the local plan for ?The Great Olomouc?, which was being prepared from the year 1921 and it received its final form in the thirties of the 20th century. Then there follows a part speaking about the development of the city in practice, focused on the city structure, enlargement of the built-up area and on the important projects, which had influenced the appearance of the future Olomouc. The last chapter is devoted to the building up of the communal infrastructure, particularly the drinking water supply to the city, gas industry, power-station industry and the public transport. All these sectors are developing in Olomouc through the city companies already from the end of the 19th century. In the inter-war period, there came up to the gradual spreading of their services, which were provided to the inhabitants of the city and also of the suburbs. Thanks to the technological development, there naturally came up the modernisation of the particular instrumentations, and from the point of view of the companies' leaderships to operational administrative changes. The thesis is based on the processing of the archival sources, supplemented by the information of the then literature and from the current research publications about the history of Olomouc. The work is completed by the picture attachment, in which it is possible to observe particular changeovers as well as the specific projects.
