Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá problematikou trestu smrti, od jeho genézy až po súčasnosť. Je zameraná na priblíženie historického vývoja a analýzu názorov ľudí na absolútny trest. V prvej kapitole sa zameriava najskôr na určenie toho, čo to vlastne trest smrti je.
