Abstract:

Cílem této práce je provést hloubkovou analýzu vztahu mezi Evropskou unií (EU) a Ázerbájdžánem se specifickým zaměřením na geopolitické faktory a spolupráci v oblasti energetické bezpečnosti. Přijetím geopolitického přístupu a přístupu k energetické bezpečnosti si tato diplomová práce klade za cíl přispět k jemnému pochopení dynamiky spolupráce mezi Ázerbájdžánem a EU. K dosažení tohoto cíle budeme zkoumat historické geopolitické faktory, které ovlivnily vývoj vztahů mezi EU a Ázerbájdžánem. Prozkoumáme také současnou geopolitickou dynamiku, která hraje roli při utváření strategického partnerství mezi EU a Ázerbájdžánem, jako je současná politická situace, regionální konflikty a globální trendy, které vztahy ovlivňují. Kromě toho prozkoumáme, jak spolupráce v oblasti energetické bezpečnosti přispívá k síle vztahů mezi EU a Ázerbájdžánem. To bude vyžadovat analýzu dohod, projektů a politik týkajících se energetiky, které zahrnují EU i Ázerbájdžán, a toho, jak přispívají k celkovým diplomatickým a strategickým vazbám. Kromě toho se snažíme identifikovat a analyzovat klíčové výzvy a příležitosti pro posílení spolupráce jak v geopolitické oblasti, tak v oblasti energetické bezpečnosti. To může zahrnovat zkoumání překážek, které brání užší spolupráci, a také potenciálních oblastí pro zlepšení a vzájemný prospěch.

Abstract:

The objective of this thesis is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the relationship between the European Union (EU) and Azerbaijan, with a specific focus on the geopolitical factors and energy security cooperation. By adopting a geopolitical and energy security approach, this master thesis aims to contribute to a nuanced understanding of the collaborative dynamics between Azerbaijan and the EU. To achieve this goal, we will investigate historical geopolitical factors that have influenced the development of EU-Azerbaijan relations. We will also explore contemporary geopolitical dynamics that play a role in shaping the strategic partnership between the EU and Azerbaijan, such as current political situations, regional conflicts, and global trends that impact the relationship. Additionally, we will investigate how energy security cooperation contributes to the strength of EU-Azerbaijan relations. This will entail analyzing energy-related agreements, projects, and policies that involve both the EU and Azerbaijan and how they contribute to the overall diplomatic and strategic ties. Moreover, we aim to identify and analyze the key challenges and opportunities for enhancing collaboration in both the geopolitical and energy security realms. This may involve examining obstacles that hinder closer cooperation, as well as potential areas for improvement and mutual benefit.
