Abstract:

Krabi rodu Charybdis jsou ekologicky i ekonomicky významnou skupinou mořských krabů z čeledi Portunidae. Hlavním centrem výskytu těchto krabů plovatců je západní Indo-Pacifik, v posledních desetiletích se však začínají šířit i do dalších oblastí. Z důvodu oteplování vod a lepšímu přístupu přes Suezský průplav se některé druhy Lessepskou migrací postupně přesunují i do Středozemního moře, kde narušují stabilitu tamního ekosystému. Čeleď Portunidae je jednou z nejlépe popsaných taxonomických skupin. Nicméně, zde stále existují velké mezery ve znalosti taxonomie, rozšíření a zoogeografických vztahů. Bylo publikováno několik studií, které výrazně pomohly pochopit vývoj a systematiku této čeledi. Přesto je obtížné zkoumat tuto skupinu z důvodu nedostatku dostupných molekulárních fylogenetických údajů. Cílem mé diplomové práce bylo provést rozbor materiálu zapůjčeného z muzejních sbírek a z depozitu KBE OSU, kde bylo identifikováno celkem 17 druhů. K našim sekvencím byly přiřazeny sekvence z databáze Genbank a z práce N. Evanse (2018), která poskytuje nejaktuálnější a zároveň nejpodrobnější taxonomický přehled v rámci nadčeledi Portunoidea. Na 27 sekvencích vybraných zástupců rodu byly provedeny dvougenové fylogenetické analýzy, které doplňují závěry uvedené v práci N. Evanse (2018). Naznačuje zde, že rod Charybdis je monofyletický a jeho sesterskými skupinami je Gonioinfradens a Goniosupradens (Evans, 2018). Výsledky molekulárních analýz provedených v rámci této práce naznačují fakt, že podrod Gonioneptunus je další sesterskou skupinou. Nastinují také možnou parafylii podrodu Charybdis. Výsledná data byla nakonec porovnána se současným rozšířením rodu Charybdis s.l. Areál většiny druhů rodu Charybdis se soustřeďuje v oblasti Jihočínského moře, avšak jen malé procento druhů je geograficky vázáno pouze na tuto oblast. U 21 druhů rodu Charybdis existuje minimální počet záznamů, které pochází většinou z jedné geografické oblasti. Druhy rodů Goniosupradens a Gonioinfradens se v centrálním Indo -pacifiku vyskytují zřídka a spíše osídlují oblast západního Indo-pacifiku a ostrovy ve východním Indo-pacifiku. Často se vyskytují v blízkosti areálů rozšíření rodu Charybdis, avšak s výjimkou Jihočínského moře.

Abstract:

Crabs of the genus Charybdis are an ecologically and economically important group of sea crabs from the Portunidae family. The main center of occurrence of the swimming crabs is the western Indo-Pacific, but in recent decades they have begun to spread to other areas. Due to global warming and better access across the Suez Canal, some species are gradually moving to the Mediterranean Sea through Lessepssian migration, where they are disrupting the stability of the local ecosystem. The family Portunidae is one of the best described taxonomic groups. However, there are still large gaps in knowledge of taxonomy, distribution and zoogeographical relationships. Several studies have been published that have greatly helped to understand the development and systematics of this family. Nevertheless, it is difficult to study this group due to the lack of available molecular phylogenetic data. The aim of my master thesis was to analyze the material borrowed from museum collections and from the KBE OSU deposit, where a total of 17 species were identified. To our sequences were added sequences from the Genbank database and from the work of N. Evans (2018), which provides the most current and the most detailed taxonomic overview within the superfamily Portunoidea. Two-gene phylogenetic analyses were performed on 27 sequences of selected members of the genus, which complement the conclusions presented in the work of N. Evans (2018). It suggests here that the genus Charybdis is monophyletic and its sister groups are Gonioinfradens and Goniosupradens (Evans, 2018). The results of molecular analyses performed in this work suggest the fact that the subgenus Gonioneptunus is another sister group. They also outline a possible paraphyly of the subgenus Charybdis. The resulting data were finally compared with the current distribution of the genus Charybdis s.l. The distribution of most species of the genus Charybdis is concentrated in the area of the South China Sea, but only a small percentage of species are geographically bound only to this area. For the 21 species of the genus Charybdis, there is a minimum number of records, mostly from one geographical area. Species of the genera Goniosupradens and Gonioinfradens are rare in the central Indo-Pacific and rather inhabit the area of the western Indo-Pacific and the islands in the eastern Indo-Pacific. They occur often near the area of distribution of the genus Charybdis, with the exception of the South China Sea.
