Pathological Gamgling of the High School Youth in Hradec Králové

Abstract:

Předložená práce nese název „Patologické hráčství středoškolské mládeže v Hradci Králové“. Cílem práce je pomocí průzkumu získat odpověď na otázku: Jak je populace královéhradecké středoškolské mládeže (ve věku 16 - 17 let) informována o patologickém hráčství, jaké postoje k této problematice zaujímá a jaké jsou její zkušenosti s hraním hazardních her? Práce má čtyři části. V první části je definováno a klasifikováno patologické hráčství, popsán jeho vývoj a vznik, faktory ovlivňující vznik patologického hráčství, negativní důsledky hazardních her a formy hazardní hry dostupné v ČR. Dále je zde rozebrána otázka souvislosti počítačů, internetu a jiných technických zařízení s patologickým hráčstvím. Ve druhé části je charakterizována současná mládež a základní znaky postojů, popsán způsob vytváření postojů a postojová změna. Je zde také rozebrána aplikace teorie postojových změn v prevenci a léčbě patologického hráčství. Třetí část se zabývá prevencí patologického hráčství, především primární prevencí orientovanou na mládež. Do poslední části autorka zakomponovala kvantitativní průzkum metodou dotazníku, jehož úkolem bylo zodpovědět výzkumný problém.

Abstract:

The presented work is called „The Pathological Gambling of the High School Youth in Hradec Králové“. The aim of the dissertation is to get an answer to the following question with help of the questionnaire: How is the high school youth population in Hradec Králové informed about the pathological gambling, which attitudes to this problem do they assume and what is their experience with gambling? The work has got four parts. In the Part I, there is defined and classified the pathological gambling, described its progression and origination, factors influencing the origination of the pathological gambling, negative effects of the gambling, and forms of gambling available in the Czech Republic. Further, there is analysed the question of the context among PC, internet and other technical devices with the pathological gambling here. In the Part II, there is characterized the present youth and the basic attributes of their attitudes, there is decribed the way of the origination of the attitudes and the attitude change. There is also analysed the application of the theory of the attitude changes in the prevention and treatment of the pathological gambling. The Part III is concerned with the prevention of the pathological gambling, especially with the primary prevention orientated to the youth. The authoress inserted her questionnaire quantitative research to the final part with the aim to answer the research problem.
