True Friends, Partial Friends and False Friends between French and English
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis focuses on describing true friends, partial true friends and false friends between English and French. In our bachelor thesis, we examine how English speakers are able to translate French lexical units. Our experimental task is carried out with the help of Czech speakers who speak English as well as with native English speakers from the United States.
