Rehabilitation protocol of an elderly patient with humeral fracture and dislocation with neurological complications: clinical case

Abstract:

The paper examines the humerus fracture with detachment of the humeral trochite and associated nervous problems and its rehabilitation treatments. First of all, the anatomy and biomechanics of the shoulder joints are examined, then its conservative and surgical treatments. Fractures of the humeral diaphysis and fractures of the surgical neck of the humerus and fractures of the elbow have been described. Then, the clinical case of C.S. is described, a 64-year-old man with fracture and dislocation of the humeral head, with detachment of the humeral trochite and associated nervous problems, who recovered the functional autonomy of the left shoulder, thanks to physiotherapy treatment.

Abstract:

L'elaborato esamina la frattura di Omero con distacco di Trochite omerale e problematiche nervose associate e i suoi trattamenti riabilitativi. Si desamina prima di tutto l'anatomia e la biomeccanica delle articolazioni della spalla, quindi i suoi trattamenti conservativi e chirurgici. Sono state descritte le fratture della diafisi omerale e le fratture del collo chirurgico dell'omero e le fratture del gomito. Si descrive poi il caso clinico di C.S., un uomo di 64 anni con frattura e lussazione della testa omerale, con distacco di trochite omerale e problematiche nervose associate, che ha recuperato l'autonomia funzionale della spalla sinistra, grazie al trattamento fisioterapico.
