Female Voice as an Instrument of Emancipation

Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá feministickými umělkyněmi, pro jejichž tvorbu je signifikantní práce se zpěvem, nebo rapem. První polovina se věnuje emancipačním tendencím hudebnic v populární kultuře. Druhá polovina se podrobněji věnuje pěti výtvarným umělkyním, které ve své tvorbě pracují se zpěvem, nebo rapem.
Abstract:
The bachelor thesis concerns feminist artists for whom singing or rapping is an important aspect of their work. In the first part of the thesis I explore emancipatory tendencies in popular music. In the second, I then look in more detail at five female visual artists whose work involves singing or rapping.
