Molecular biology markers and methods applied in the determination of prokaryotes

Abstract:

In the recent years, significant development in using molecular - genetic methods has been recorded. The constant improvement of these methods brings new procedures and findings required in order to correctly identify variability of microorganisms. The methods described in this paper use DNA markers for this detection. The structure of this paper is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter is focused on explaining and defining the DNA markers. In the second chapter, the methods used to detect markers restriction, amplification, sequencing and DNA's conformational change, are described. The overall use of DNA markers is to be found in the third chapter. The conclusion compounds of findings regarded to molecular methods using DNA markers and its importance in the field of research and resultant use in practice.

Abstract:

V posledných rokoch došlo k výraznému vývojovému pokroku vo využívaní molekulárno- genetických metód. Zdokonaľovanie metód prináša nové postupy a poznatky potrebné pri identifikácií variability mikroorganizmov. Metódy popísané v práci využívajú na detekciu DNA markery. Práca je rozdelená do troch hlavných kapitol. Prvá kapitola sa zameriava na vysvetlenie a charakteristiku DNA markerov. V druhej kapitole sú popísané a vysvetlené princípy metód, ktoré využívajú na detekciu markerov restrikciu, amplifikáciu, sekvenovanie a zmenu konformácie DNA. Celkové využitie DNA markerov sa nachádza v tretej kapitole. V závere práce sú zhrnuté poznatky o molekulárnych metódach využívajúcich DNA markery a ich dôležitosti v úlohe výskumu a následného využitia v praxi.
