Assessment of flash flood vulnerability in selected municipalities of Vsetín district I.

Abstract:

Téma této bakalářské práce se zaměřuje na posouzení míry zranitelnosti jednotlivých kritických bodů ve vybraných obcích okresu Vsetín, které jsou ohroženy přívalovými povodněmi. Posouzení bylo provedeno na základě metodiky kritických bodů. Kritické body jsou oblasti, kde hrozí nebo dochází ke vzniku přívalových povodní, které by mohly ohrozit majetek ale i životy obyvatel. U každého bodu se stanovila míra zranitelnosti a míra nebezpečí. Tyto výsledky dále určily výslednou kategorii rizikovosti jednotlivých kritických bodů. Celkem bylo vybráno 40 bodů, z čehož u bodu 36.-40. nebylo možné určit míry zranitelnosti a nebezpečí kvůli nepřístupné oblasti. Vysoká míra rizikovosti byla určena pouze u dvou bodů (viz. kapitola Výsledky). U 25 bodů byla určená malá míra rizikovosti a u zbylých 8 byla určena střední míra rizikovosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is considering the degree of vulnerability of individual critical points (CPs) in chosen towns in Vsetin region that are potentionally at risk by flash floods. The evalutation of each and every CPs had been done according to basic methodology for evaluation of CPs. CP is an arena, or rather a spot in the landscape in which the danger from flood's aftermath is greater to both property and human lives. For each and every point was determined the degree of vulnerability and flash flood's danger. These results were used to create a table of vulnerability category. In this work there is a total of 40 CPs, from which points 36 to 40 was not a possiblity to determine the degree of vulnerability due to private areas. A high degree of vulnerability was determined only for a two point (more in Results). A relatively low degree of vulnerability was determined for 25 CPs, while for the last 8 points the degree of vulnerability was determined to be between low and high.
