Social responsibility of large companies, elaborate on the example ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.

Abstract:

Tématem této práce je sociální zodpovědnost velkých podniků, rozvedeno na příkladu ArcelorMittal Ostrava, a.s. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. Na část teoretickou a část empirickou. Teoretická část této práce je zaměřena na zevrubný popis pojmů, jako je základní vymezení společenské odpovědnosti firem, vývoj konceptu společenské odpovědnosti, koncept společenské odpovědnosti v organizaci, integrace společenské odpovědnosti do strategie podniku a kritika a přínosy společenské odpovědnosti. Praktická část se zaměřuje na kvalitativní výzkumnou strategii, která je provedena formou strukturovaného rozhovoru ve dvou velkých firmách Moravskoslezského kraje, které mají koncept společenské odpovědnosti zavedený ve své strategii podniku.

Abstract:

The theme of of this thesis is Social responsibility of large companies, elaborate on the example ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s. The thesis is divided into two parts ? theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on a comprehensive description of concepts such as the basic definition of corporate social responsibility, the development of the concept of social responsibility, the concept of social responsibility in the organization, the integration of social responsibility into business strategy and criticism and benefits of corporate social responsibility. The practical part focuses on qualitative research strategy that is implemented in the form of a structured interview in two large companies Moravian-Silesian region that have introduced the concept of social responsibility in their business strategy.
