Tato diplomová práce částecně navazuje na bakalářskou práci T. Mádlové z roku 2014 s názvem Metoda tzv. standardních svíček k určování vzdáleností ve vesmíru, jejíž jedna kapitola pojednává o cefeidách. První kapitola diplomové práce je věnována teoretickému přehledu týkajícímu se cefeid a jejich pozorování. This Master’s thesis partially follows up T. Mádlová’s Bachelor’s thesis from 2014 with the title of Method of standard candles for determining distances in the Universe, whose one of the chapters deals with cepheids.
