The rehabilitation program of a sports patient following a displaced humerus fracture: case report

Abstract:

This thesis will deal with the clinical case of a 42-year-old woman with a proximal humerus fracture, attributed to a traumatic event, more precisely to an accidental fall. After consulting the radiodiagnostic investigations, she was diagnosed with a bone fracture with two displaced fragments that take into consideration the humeral head and the humeral surgical neck. The surgical treatment consists in the recomposition of the fragments in order to block them, according to the natural anatomy by resorting to the use of plates and screws. Rehabilitation after plate and screw fixation presents many variables that should not be underestimated, ranging from early mobilization to the stability of the fracture fragments obtained through stabilization.

Abstract:

In questa tesi di laurea verr? trattato il caso clinico di una donna di 42 anni, con frattura prossimale d'omero, ricondotta ad evento traumatico, pi? precisamente a caduta accidentale. Dopo aver consultato le indagini radiodiagnostiche, le ? stata diagnosticata una frattura ossea a due frammenti scomposti che prendono in considerazione la testa dell'omero e il collo chirurgico omerale. Il trattamento chirurgico consiste nella ricomposizione dei frammenti al fine di bloccarli, secondo la naturale anatomia ricorrendo all'utilizzo di placche e viti. La riabilitazione dopo sintesi con placca e viti, presenta molte variabili che non devono essere sottovalutate, che vanno dalla mobilizzazione precoce alla stabilit? dei frammenti di frattura ottenuti tramite stabilizzazione.
