This thesis analyses evaluative language of the ?comment? sections of Czech, American and British newspapers concerning topical issue of the threat of the Islamic State in the Middle East. Tato práce analyzuje evaluativní jazyk v komentářích českých, amerických a britských novin, které se zabývají aktuální tematikou hrozby Islámského Státu na Středním východě.
