The architecture, sculptural and painting embellishment of the interior of the church of Corpus Christi in Stará Červená Voda

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá architekturou a sochařskou a malířskou výzdobou farního kostela Božího Těla ve Staré Červené Vodě. Jedná se o stavbu, jejíž nejstarší dochované části sahají až do 13. století a neméně významná byla také její barokizace v 18. století, díky níž památka získala svou dnešní podobu. Součástí práce je též nástin historie a vývoje obce Stará Červená Voda. Zbytek práce poté pojednává o stavebně-historickém vývoji kostela Božího Těla od počátků až po současnost a podrobněji se zabývá významnými sochařskými a malířskými díly, která se nacházejí jak v interiéru kostela, tak v jeho těsné blízkosti. K tématu zmíněné umělecké výzdoby se neodmyslitelně vztahují také její autoři, z nichž nejvýznamnějšími byli Alois Bauch a Bernard a Raimund Kutzerovi, jejichž osobnosti si v této práci rovněž přiblížíme.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the architecture and sculptural and painting embellishment of the parish church of the Corpus Christi in Stará Červená Voda. It is a building whose oldest preserved parts could be date back to the 13th century, and its Baroqueization in the 18th century was no less important. Thanks to this Baroqueization the monument acquired its present appearance. The thesis also includes an outline of the general history and development of the village Stará Červená Voda. The rest of the thesis then discusses the architectural and historical development of the Church of the Corpus Christi from its beginnings to the present and deals in more detail with important sculptural and painting works, which are located both in the interior of the church and in its immediate vicinity. The authors of the sculptural and painting embellishment are also inextricably linked to the whole topic. The most important of these authors were Alois Bauch and Bernard and Raimund Kutzer, whose personalities we will also approach in this thesis.
