The world grand and upright pianos market and the position of Czech republic on this market

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na světový trh s klavíry a pianiny a postavení jediného českého výrobce Petrof na tomto trhu. První kapitola začíná rešerší literatury a dále se zabývá základní charakteristikou pian, jejich rozřazením podle velikosti a různými druhy i historickými předchůdci. Pokračuje popsáním procesu výroby, včetně nutných materiálů k výrobě, a poukazuje na specifika obchodu s piany. Druhá kapitola představuje světový trh s piany a největší importéry a exportéry. Zaměřuje se také na nejznámější značky a firmy světa a analyzuje dostupná data i pro rok 2020 ovlivněný pandemií COVID-19. Ve třetí kapitole je představen český trh s piany, historický vývoj a český výrobce pian Petrof. Součástí je i SWOT analýza společnosti Petrof. Na základě zjištění je zhodnoceno postavení České republiky na světovém trhu s piany, změny na tomto trhu v souvislosti s pandemií COVID-19 a dále jsou identifikovány rostoucí trhy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the world upright and grand pianos market and on the position of the only Czech piano manufacturer Petrof on this market. The first chapter begins with a literature review and deals with the piano characteristics, their classification by size, types, and their historical ancestors. The chapter continues with the description of the production process, includes necessary materials, and points out the specifics of the piano trade. The second chapter presents the world market of pianos and the largest importers and exporters. It also focuses on the most famous brands and companies and analyses available data even for year 2020 which was influenced by COVID-19 pandemic. The third chapter presents the Czech market of pianos, historical development, and Czech piano manufacturer Petrof. It also includes SWOT analysis of Petrof. Based on the findings, the position of Czech Republic on the world market of pianos and changes in this market in connection with a COVID-19 pandemic are evaluated and the growing markets are identified.
