Application of Talent Management Strategy in a particular SME

Abstract: SMEs face, in today’s globalized world, issues consisting mainly of loosing competitive advantages due to increased competition resulting from diminishing boundaries, and limited budgets. Companies have to seek for differentiation in all parts of business processes. Awareness that human capital can be a competitive advantage and usage of a talent management as a tool for its implementation and maintenance, are important parts of the key success factors. The main objective of my diploma thesis is to make a detailed plan of implication the right talent management strategy, containing phases – talent identification, attraction and retention in a company Y. The objective is reached using theoretical data acquired in the first part of my thesis, and analysis of a global company X with a proved successful talent management strategy. Acquired data and information are personalized, adjusted and used in the company Y. In the theoretical part of my thesis, the focus is given primarily on the actual meaning of concepts – Human Resources and Talent Management in the manner of interpretation, that are used throughout the work. It is explained how a talent management is crucial for successful functioning of businesses in the globalized world. Using information acquired in the theoretical part, analysis in a company X leads to overall template of main elements needed in a successful talent management. Template is personalized to be applicable in the company Y.
