Abstract:
This bachelor thesis analyzes women's identities in Angela Carter's Nights at the Circus. The aim of this work is to understand the term of identity and afterwards apply this knowledge to the analysis. This work is not only focused on the main protagonist Fevvers, but also on other women and their no less engaging stories, which must be understood to reveal the structure of their identity. Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje ženské identity v díle Noci v Cirkuse Angely Carterové. Podstatou této práce je porozumět termínu identity a dále tyto vědomosti uplatnit při samotném rozboru. Práce není zaměřena pouze na hlavní protagonistku Peříčko, ale také na ostatní ženy a jejich neméně poutavé příběhy, které je nutné pochopit k odhalení konstrukce jejich identity.
