Disorders Of Fatty Acid Metabolism In Patients With Metabolic Syndrome

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá studiem poruch metabolismu mastných kyselin u lidí s metabolickým syndromem. První část práce pojednává obecně o lipidech, pozornost je věnována jejich obecné charakteristice, klasifikaci a také jsou zde uvedeny nejčastější zástupci. Dále je zde stručná charakteristika mastných kyselin, popsány jsou také nejčastější poruchy jejich metabolismu. Druhá část práce popisuje metabolický syndrom. Je zde uvedena obecná charakteristika syndromu, příznaky, diagnostika a popsány jsou i některé jevy, které na toto onemocnění mají vliv. Uvedena je zde i léčba a komplikace, které mohou u syndromu nastat. Třetí část práce je zaměřena na experimentální část, v níž je uveden stručný popis metod, které se při práci používaly. Tato kapitola pojednává o extrakci, derivatizaci, chromatografii na tenké vrstvě a plynové chromatografii. Cílem mé diplomové práce je změření a zjištění hodnot mastných kyselin v plasmě u lidí s metabolickým syndromem.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the study of fatty acid metabolism disorders in people with metabolic syndrome. The first part of the work deals with lipids in general, attention is paid to their general characteristics, classification and there are also some of their representatives. Furthermore, there is a brief description of fatty acids the most common disorders of their metabolism are also described. The second part describes the metabolic syndrome. There is a general characteristics of the syndrome, symptoms, diagnosis and some phenomena that affect this disease are described. It also lists the treatment and some of the complications that can occur with the syndrome. The third part of the work is focused on the experimental part. There is a brief description of the methods used in the work. Extraction and derivatization, thin layer chromatography and gas chromatography. The aim of my thesis is to measure and determine the values of fatty acids in plasma in people with metabolic syndrome.
