Public approach to the euthanasy issue

Abstract:

V překládané diplomové práci jsem se snažila přiblížit historii a současnost eutanazie. Cílem mé práce je především poukázat, že eutanazie se v minulosti prováděla a že dnešní doba na eutanazii není připravena. V mé práci vysvětluji některé pojmy, které se úzce váží k eutanazii a také sumarizuji vývoj eutanazie od doby nacismu až do současnosti. Poté píši o eutanazii u nás a ve světě. Také jsem se snažila popsat interrupci u nás a v Německu. Pokusila jsem se přiblížit některé pojmy, které jsou spojovány s eutanazií. V praktické části popisuji postoj politiků a lékařů k eutanazii. Také popisuji jakým způsobem se eutanazie v jednotlivých zemí provádí. Snažím se veřejnosti přiblížit i jinou metodu než eutanazii. Ve své práci vysvětluji význam hospicu a paliativní péče. Také popisuji paliativní péči i ve světě. V závěru práce je vyhodnocení průzkumu z dotazníků. Z tohoto průzkumu můžeme vidět některé rozdíly, které jsou v jednotlivých zemích. Snažila jsem se najít klady eutanazie, ale také jsem se snažila poukázat na zneužití eutanazie.

Abstract:

In the presented thesis I tried to explain the history and the present time of euthanasia. The aim of my thesis is to point out that euthanasia was used in the past and that the present time is not prepared for it. In the first part of my thesis I explain some ideas that refer to euthanasia. In this part I also summarize the development of euthanasia from the time of Nazism until today. Then I write about euthanasia in my country and also in the world. Moreover I tried to explain some points referring to euthanasia. In the practical part I describe the attitude to euthanasia of politicians and doctors. I also describe the way of accomplishing of euthanasia in different countries. I try to clarify to the public a different technique besides euthanasia. In my thesis I explain the sense of hospices and the lenitive care. I also describe the lenitive care in the world. In the end of the thesis is an evaluation of a questionnaire research. From this research we can notice some differences in different countries. I tried to find the positives of euthanasia but I also wanted to explain the minuse of euthanasia.
