Kirsten Flagstad - The Norwegian wagner legend

Abstract:

Kirsten Flagstad se právem řadí k předním světovým interpretkám děl Richarda Wagnera. Svou kariéru započala v Norsku, ale její pěvecké kvality jí brzy zajistily angažmá v předních světových domech jako je Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, Royal Opera House a mnoho dalších. Práce se věnuje umělecké činnosti pěvkyně od debutu až po její odchod z operní scény. Během svého života vystupovala na jevištích a koncertních pódiích po celém světě, a ačkoliv po sobě zanechala opravdu významný hudební odkaz, česká literatura se o této operní ikoně téměř nezmiňuje. Cílem práce je na základě rešerše literatury zdokumentovat její pěveckou dráhu a osobní život.

Abstract:

Kirsten Flagstad rightfully ranks among the leading world interpreters of the works of Richard Wagner. She began her career in Norway, but her vocal abilities soon secured engagements in top international venues such as the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, Royal Opera House, and many others. This work focuses on the artistic career of the singer from her debut to her departure from the opera stage. Throughout her life, she performed on stages and concert platforms around the world, and although she left a truly significant musical legacy, Czech literature hardly mentions this operatic icon. The aim of this work is to document her vocal career and personal life based on literature research.
