The Attitude of Field Social Workers and Members of Caring Families Towards Mental Health of the Family Members Taking Care of a Close Relative

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zkoumá postoj terénních sociálních pracovníků a členů pečujících rodin k psychohygieně členů pečujících rodin. Text se zaměřuje na tři důležité složky postoje obou zmíněných skupin k psychohygieně členů pečujících rodin. V teoretické části je popsána problematika postoje, jenž je nezbytným podkladem pro metodologii dílčích výzkumných otázek. Dále seznamuje s terénní sociální prací, profesí sociálního pracovníka a definuje pojem sociálního fungování. Teoretická část se dále věnuje tématu pečující rodiny, které zahrnuje sociální péči a situaci pečujících osob. Ústředním tématem teoretické části je psychohygiena, její vymezení a nástroje. Pro výzkum diplomové práce byla zvolena kvalitativní metoda realizovaná polostrukturovaným rozhovorem se čtyřmi terénními sociálními pracovníky a šesti členy pečujících rodin.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis examines the attitudes of field social workers and members of caring families towards the mental hygiene of members in the caring families. The text focuses on three important components of the attitudes of both mentioned groups regarding the mental hygiene of the caring family members. The theoretical part describes the issue of attitude, which is a necessary background for the methodology of partial research questions. It also presents the field social work, the profession of the social worker, and it defines the concept of social functioning. The theoretical part then deals with the topic of a caring family, which covers social care and the situation of caring persons. The central topic of the theoretical part is devoted to the mental health, with its demarcation and techniques. The qualitative method for the research of the diploma thesis was realised by a semi-structured interview with four field social workers and six caring family members.
